Cheap Basics in Sleepy Colors at the News Showroom Sale

We eyed a diaphanous black jewel-beaded short sleeve maxi-dress and an adorable navy-and-white polka-dotted frock with ruffles.
The pricier R13 section (which was also popular with the guys even though they have their own R13 offerings) featured $100 puff-sleeve denim jackets and jeans priced at $100 and up. Shipley & Halmos make an appearance with lots of black and white graphic pieces ($110 for the sleeveless top and $160 for the dress). And thank heavens for Eternal Child for bringing in some colorful prints with a rope pattern maxi-frock ($175) and a Liberté-graphic mini-shift ($140).
